No U.S. Green Card: How to Explore Health Insurance

No green card does not necessarily mean undocumented

Temporary visa holders, people with another lawful status and undocumented people face different requirements. Foreign nationality alone does not determine insurance eligibility.

Check the actual eligibility requirements

Identify your actual residence, immigration-status category, travel dates and desired coverage period, then check the specific plan. Undocumented immigrants cannot enroll in Marketplace coverage. Availability through other routes requires a separate review.

How HealUSA can assist

HealUSA helps organize eligibility questions and review potential products, premiums, networks and existing-illness coverage. If a route is unavailable, clarify why and discuss which care-coordination and cost-planning services can be provided or arranged.

Prepare for a consultation

Start with your status category, state or intended location, desired effective date, condition name and preferred hospital. You need not send identification numbers or complete records initially. Request the insurer, product name and eligibility basis in writing.
